Noob animations

Not my idea this week. I would not have known what a NOOB was until Dave told me. These animations seem to be the result of Dave hanging around on the Blogger help forum and they do not seem to be that complimentary so I apologise on the behalf of Dave if they upset anybody. Remember he is getting on in years and seems easily influenced by anybody these days. I have been watching him build a jet airliner in the modelling program and it should become part of a set of travel animations next week

Animated politicians

This week we have updated the faces page. Some of the old ones were pretty awful and I told Dave as such so he improved on them a little.

We also added some more relevant political faces and of course added the obligatory funny hat. I love this one of Tony Blair and although he has taken a lot of stick we have always been a supporter of him although we have no particular political leanings. The one we had of Gordon Brown was looking too young so we updated that as well and gave him a pirates hat.
It’s nice to see that spring has arrived and that the trees are starting to get green and flowers are appearing, it has been a hard and cold winter and we can do with some warm sun to warm our old bones.

Not sure what to come next week but one thing for sure we will have something new.

Happy Birthday animations

This week Dave has actually made what I suggested last week. Some Birthday animations for special age groups. I particularly like the 70^TH birthday one.Dave’s Flash animation blogs seems to have come to a standstill. He made quite a few Flash animations and has been modifying them and putting one a week on the blog. Sadly he has now run out of Flash animations and will not have much time to make more because he is too busy making new gif animations. Let’s be honest, although animated gifs have been about for a long time they are still popular and also very easy to insert into a blog or webpage, unlike Flash that needs a little HTML knowledge. The ipads do not have the ability to show any Flash on websites so our gif animations come up trumps there as well. It has also come to my attention that Dave has been spending some time on the Blogger help forum, as long as he behaves himself it is fine with me but the problem is that he is getting old and developing some strange personality traits. Although we use the same “name” I rarely visit those places and my main interest is writing this blog and helping with typing and text content on our website. I like to think that some of the best animations were my idea although the Dr Who ones were Dave’s idea and they are not bad if you like that sort of thing. Next week Dave says the animations are his idea although the inspiration came from friends, what he means I do not know, so let’s just wait and see.

Password Protected animations

A new page with Password protected animations, Dave’s idea of course, not that he has anything worth protecting. I noticed that a few of our recently deleted web pages were still indexed by Google so we made a custom error page and have also added a page of “404” animations. I noticed that the birthday page did not have many “actual” birthdays. i.e. 20, 30, 70, maybe Dave will make some soon. I wonder if it would be practical to make every birthday from 1 to 100, now that would keep Dave busy.

We finished out tidy up for now, you can always find room for improvements and we thought that the MySpace and flu jab page looked a little bare so we added a few more animations. We changed the theme of the MySpace page and made and added some animated buttons, we hope to add more soon.
Dave then made a Royal wedding countdown clock that he added to his blog. Our friend Marios in Cyprus, a very special young man and very good friend has made a lot of beautiful hand made cards and we have added a page to show off and hopefully sell some of his work. This page just shows what can be achieved when you think that all hope is lost and how perseverance and a lot of love can make the impossible possible
