Almost back to normal now with Dave.
We have now added the please donate buttons to our website. We are not looking for donations but these can be used on websites and blogs that do.
Christmas is approaching and it is a fun time for us with our little grand daughter and we seem to get a few more visits because of our Christmas animations.
I particularly like the Christmas Flash animations on Dave’s blog; he made them some time ago for “Wallop” but has found a way for them to be used on blogs
We will not be adding any many animations this week because Dave has been in Maidstone Hospital again. He had another pulmonary embolism but because he was aware of the symptoms got early treatment and is now back at home generally making a nuisance of himself. He will need a few weeks off from work so a few more animations will probably be added soon. Dave is a very laid back person but also fiercely independent. I had to pity the hospital staff at Maidstone who tried to keep him in bed for the first couple of days.
As I was writing the last posting Dave was constructing a new webpage listing what he considered to be some of our funniest animations. The earlist ones were the toilet animations, Dave only had a few animations on the website and because he won an award for one of the toilets it gave him the inspiration to make more and you can just see how many he has made now. If you like our funny animations click the link.

Last week we got an email asking why we had no Happy Thanksgiving animations. Dave immediately put the donate buttons on the back burner and knocked up a few Thanksgiving animated gifs.
At the moment we are having no problem finding new animations to make each week as the occasional good suggestion is emailed to us.
We have added the Christmas Header with Santa “sitting” on the Chimney to our main website. We use this animation every year and still get complaints that it is unsuitable. Christmas seems to come earlier and earlier every year so we jumped on the band wagon as well.
Just lately we have had a few enquiries asking about downloading animated gifs.
On our web site we do not allow direct linking (Hotlinking) so it is not possible to copy the animation and then paste it into your blog or website. We would love to be able to allow this facility but an animation site uses a massive amount of bandwidth (which costs us) just to display our work so allowing you to display animations by linking to our server would cost us more.
There is a correct procedure which has been outlined on our how to download animated gifs web page. Continue to have fun and enjoy our free original animated gifs, hopefully as much as we enjoy making them.

This week sees the completion of the QR code animations.
A simple idea from Dave because he is simple. Can anyone see any possible use for them?
We like to look around other free gif animation web sites and have noticed some who put a donate button on their pages.
Sevenoaks Art has no intention of doing that but we are going to make some animated donate buttons that could be used on websites that work for charities, supply a free service or need help to keep running.
The blog award page has been updated.
