Animated Zodiac signs

The old boy has been busy this week, sometimes he gets a bee in his bonnet and will experiment. The YouTube videos are evidence of that. He has finished the animated Zodiac signs after I did all the research for him and the different colour light reflecting from them looks very good. The QR code animations (What a strange idea) should be available next week.
On the left you have the Capricorn sign (Dave) and on the right is my Gemini zodiac birth sign

How to Upload animated gifs to YouTube

Dave cannot resist the temptation to experiment and once he found out how is easy it is to upload videos to YouTube he wondered if it was possible with our animated gifs. This is his first attempt and it was made in the Windows Movie Maker that is installed on most Windows computers.
The animated gifs do not work very well if they have a transparent background so some manipulation was needed to make a "solid" background and the image size needed to be 320 x 240 or a size in proportion. When saving to my computer in the save movie wizard, high Quality video was selected as the save setting. The text and fade effects were all added with Windows Movie maker as well. It will be interesting to see if Dave progresses with this experiment or loses interest as he so often does.

Animated sandals and flip flops

This week Dave was busy making the Chile miners animation and has added a sandal (Not a Flip Flop) to the Flip Flop Dot page.
We have been busy updating things as the previous posting shows. At the moment Dave is working on two things, Zodiac sign and QR code animations so one or the other should appear next week.

Dot and Dave

We have moved our broadband supply from Namesco to BT.
One of the good things is that we can ring our friends in Cyprus for less than 3p per minute with a broadband phone. We also get a faster download speed and very good Wi-Fi for the laptop and iphone. The sad thing is that we lose a webpage that was hosted by Namesco about Dot and Dave. I love the animated fish header that was the header on the old page so got Dave to move it with all information to our website. If you are interested in Dot and Dave. And believe me Dave is a boring old fart, Information can be found on the link below.

Male female symbols

Life is back to normal, well as normal as is possible living with Dave.
Even as a young man his mother said that “he was not all there”. Who in his right mind would make hundreds of animations and then give them away. He has coerced me to join him in this venture; I must love the old git because when he looks at me with his big doggy brown eyes it is hard to refuse him anything. Anyway on to more important things.
The male female symbols have been made and at this moment in time Dave is working on an animation to celebrate the 33 Chilean miners amazing escape from their underground dungeon. We are hoping to publish this soon.

Animated pirates chest

Well done Dave, we now have the sea chest with a nasty surprise in it.
We have had a week in Cyprus, enjoyed some sunshine, Ouzo , good Greek company and became good friends with John and Mary from Ashington so Dave has not been hard at work on any animations but for once had an idea himself. Expect to see some animated Male and female symbols next week.
