Ooo Arr Jim Lad, we have made the first batch of pirate animations and a new page has been added. We hope to add more animations next week including a sea chest. Dave is not spending so much time sitting in the garden sipping his Southern Comfort because Summertime is over so he will be spending a little more time creating some good animations (We hope). In just over a year’s time he will retire so just maybe our website will get a little more attention. I am seriously considering getting a job then and he can look after Molly our grand daughter while our daughter works. It is going to drive me mad having him home all the time.Free animated gifs. Monarch Airlines settle Volcanic Ash claim
Five months after we were stuck in Cyprus because of the Volcanic ash and had to pay for food and accomodation Monarch Airlines has settled our claim. It looks like they have settled with most people in a similar fashion. We got an allowance of £112 for two people for 7 nights half board accomodation, not easy to find such cheap accomodation in Cyprus but possible (we paid a lot more). £168 was allowed for food. As we were self catering a lot of the time this was about right. If Dave had got his finger out we may have have got this settlement earlier. We use Monarch Airlines a lot and are very happy with them. As they say "this disruption was beyond their control" so we say any reimbursement is a bonus after an extra week in the Cyprus sun.

Please leave a comment animations
Dave has made some “please leave a comment” animations, probably best for blogs, as a lot of our work is. We were asked for some more spinning words and they have been added. Our grand daughter Molly is five this week and my daughter is arranging a big party for her at the local village hall. The theme is Princess’s and Pirates.
The invitations have gone out in small plastic bottle with a “treasure map” invite inside carefully rolled inside a ribbon to be pulled out easily. Pirates are popular and we have nothing on our website about them. Watch this space next week.

Animated arrow gifs
This week we were informed that our Flash header did not look the same in some browsers as it did in Explorer. We have tried it in several browsers and it seems OK now. The animations always seem to display OK which is good. Dave has added some animated arrows to our ever growing collection of gifs, you never know when someone would like to point something out :0)...... Sometimes people would like to encourage readers to their blogs to leave a comment, next week we hope to do something about this as Dave is working on some animations for this

Animated Gay Symbols
Good ol Dave, the gay symbol animations have worked quite well.If nothing else we are creating a wide range of different animations.
As this website is only a hobby and we work on it in our spare time we do not always update pages as necessary.
The Chinese Zodiac calculator is a classic example. When we looked at last weekend we noticed that the latest birth date on it was 2008. This has now been corrected and we have also made all birth sign animations available as animated gifs with no necessity to download zip files as before. It is also possible to link to or download our little calculator. Dave's Chinese Zodiac sign is a dog and I'm a snake, wonder if they are supposed to be compatible.

Monarch airlines reimbursement for volcanic ash problems
Sometimes Dave is just too bl**dy laid back.In April we wrote about being stuck in Cyprus for an extra week because of volcanic ash and how Monarch airlines promised to reimburse us for expenses incurred because of this. We made a claim in April and then again in May because the first one had not used their official six page claim form. I guessed this claim would not be settled immediately but over the months asked Dave to contact them and see what was happening. He eventually emailed them this weekend. Guess what , they say that they never received the claim form. Maybe I am cynical but I do have to wonder how often this has happened. Yes it was our fault for not keeping on top of it all and checking to see if the claim was received but a new claim has been made and acknowledged so we live in hope that we may get some reimbursement. When is another matter. All this is sad because we love Monarch and use them a lot , always get extra leg room (at a cost) and find the air crew some of the best around. Rarely do we get a last minute reschedule or a late flight and have even opted for reimbursement in the form of a Monarch flight voucher.

Bin cat lady animations

We have added an addition to the cat bin women animation and we have it on display here. If you want to modify any animations or make your own name tags etc we have updated the tuition pages and if you want to use animation shop it is available here. We have a few gay friends and it has been suggested that we make some animated gay symbols... Dave is on the case and admits the rainbow effect is an excuse to make some very colourful gifs.
