New Beach Holiday Park

Dave had a break from animation work last week.
Instead he spent a week with myself, our daughter and grand daughter at New Beach holiday park Dymchurch. We were regular visitors there in the early days of our marriage and one year our daughter won a weekly miss princess competition and her photo was entered the the miss princess of the year. She won that and we got a weeks free holiday so we have happy memories of the place.
We stayed in a caravan, it was brand new but these days they have managed to squeeze even more onto the site and in our opinion the chalets that were there 25 years ago are now looking tired and in need of some TLC. That said our grand daughter thought she was in heaven, she used the indoor swimming pool, the pedal go-karts to ride around the site, spent a good few pennies on the vast selection of arcade machines and thoroughly enjoyed the evening entertainment. The kiddies rep did let us down when several children wanted to go to a mornings painting session and because of bad organisation all the children missed out completely. There is something to be said for packing up your car with a weeks supplies and in less than an hour being at your holiday resort, sadly you cannot guarantee the British weather, but we were lucky.

An enjoyable day out is a trip on the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch railway, the worlds smallest public railway and still using steam trains, we travelled from Dymchurch to Dungeness and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our Granddaughter left one of her toys in one of the carriages but a telephone call to them on returning home saw the delivery of it by post the next day. Absolutely brilliant!

Animated chairs made from Sketchup models

This week we have some animated chairs. Some of these were models that Dave made for sketchup and has made into animations. He has also added an ipad to his sketchup models. We are migrating our broadband from our present supplier to BT. It is not going smoothly but I believe Dave is to blame for muddling up the Mac code. BT are very helpfull and Dave is not too concerned as long as he has someone supplying his broadband

Google animations

This week Dave has added a few more Flash animations to his new Flash blog.
We also have added some Google animations. Animations that relate to Google in some way.
We already had some made and Dave added a few more using the Animated alphabets available on our site. The teddy bear "Google me" is an example of one of our alphabets.
Holiday time is fast approaching and we have not booked anything yet. We may even end up having a week in Dymchurch if the weather is good, if not it gives Dave a good chance of doing a bit of decorating, our house is starting to look very tatty.

Flash animations for Blogs

Flash Animations

Dave has been busy this week... well sort of. A few years back he made some Flash animations when he was a modder with Wallop, a social engineering site. Wallop no longer exists but Dave still has a few Flash animations that he can optimise and is adding to a new blog.
He says that at this stage it is a big experiment and wants to keep all Flash separate from Sevenoaks Art. Without a doubt there is some nice work and the animations are more complex than our animated gifs

Animated wasps

Whatever next, Dave has for some strange reason decided to make a few wasp animations. They have been added to our insect pages.
We have also deleted some of the England flags and emblems on the World Cup football page.Bring back the days when Stanley Mathews played and football was not big business.
We still have not been reimbursed by Monarch Airlines for our out of pocket expenses when we were stranded in Cyprus for an extra week because of volcanic ash.It will be a matter of wait and see, I would not be suprised if we get another letter finding fault with our claim and asking for more information.
