Dave has now finished the Scottish symbols and animations.
We have settled down nicely after our break in Cyprus and have decided to try and find a Cypriot barbeque.
The nearest we can find is a barbeque that featured in Dragon’s Den and is called a Barbescew.
Electrical rotating scewers that ensure a good even cooked culinary delight.
Sometimes Dave makes Flash animations (ie our header) and he has said that he will make some 3D page loading gif animations.
Should be on our website next week.
Sorry for no entry last week, we were supposed to have arrived home from Cyprus on Saturday and posted on Sunday but thanks to the volcanic dust we were stranded in Cyprus for another week and only got a flight back to the UK yesterday.
We enjoyed the extra week but not the extra expense so it will be interesting to see if Monarch Airlines will reimburse us for the accommodation and food as we only bought a flight. According to EU rules we should get reinbursement for sensible claims. UPDATE ON OUR SITUATION - CLICK HERE
We had one week in Nicosia with our friends Petros, Toulla and Marios and ended up having two weeks in Larnaca in a very modern apartment complex called Troy Legends where we met Kieros and Sharon with sons Zac and Leo. They have now become very good friends and as they intend to build a house in Cyprus we will make a point of visiting them.
Our routine has thrown off course and as Dave is getting old, bless him, it will take a little time for him to settle down again, but with gentle persuasion from myself we may see the Scottish animations next week. We now have a backlog of emails to look at.
This week Dave has no animations ready for our website.
He has been spending too much time on an alternative blog to this one and has even used my template.
He has written about our times in Cyprus, we are regular vistors and love anything Greek.
The photo shows myself and one of our neighbours when we stayed in Polemi.
Its up to you to decide which one I am.
Hopefully Dave will have finished the Scottish animations by next week.
This week Dave has added some Welsh animations. He will probably get around to adding a Welsh harp at some stage. The Scottish animations are still on the go. After a hard bitter winter with more snow than we would like to have seen (It made Dave build some animated snowmen) it is nice to see some spring flowers blooming. The snowdrops and daffodils are now springing up everywhere.
We are approaching that time of the year where Dave likes to sit in the garden sipping his Southern comfort rather than making animations. Fortunately in the UK we get a fair amount of rain which allows Dave time to make something new nearly every week
