How to Upload animated gifs to YouTube

Dave cannot resist the temptation to experiment and once he found out how is easy it is to upload videos to YouTube he wondered if it was possible with our animated gifs. This is his first attempt and it was made in the Windows Movie Maker that is installed on most Windows computers.
The animated gifs do not work very well if they have a transparent background so some manipulation was needed to make a "solid" background and the image size needed to be 320 x 240 or a size in proportion. When saving to my computer in the save movie wizard, high Quality video was selected as the save setting. The text and fade effects were all added with Windows Movie maker as well. It will be interesting to see if Dave progresses with this experiment or loses interest as he so often does.
